Davos – The Conceptual Artist whose work exists in descriptions or gallery labels only

Davos imagines large-scale conceptual works, using media as diverse as Porsches and liquid gold. His art consist of text panels that describe the work – the works are never actually physically realised.

I realised that conceptual art doesn’t need to actually be made – the artist only has to describe it and it exists. This is very handy as I often envisage artworks made from such unusual materials as diamonds, sand dunes and 1:1 scale Eiffel Towers.

Davos

Works by Davos are either printed descriptions of his ideas or the sort of label that would be placed next to his work – if it existed – in an art gallery.
